This morning a Miss Rachel Palmer called me (and woke me up after i fell back to sleep after a previous phonecall woke me up! :P Its ok though!) and we decided I should write a blog post since I don’t do this enough.

So, whats this going to be about? Well… we decided that this should be 10 reasons why I think Rachel should reactivate her Twitter account. Yep. Thats what I’m gonna write about.

Those who know Rachel may of noticed that back in May, she had deleted her Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr accounts based on the reason that she didn’t like what social networks do to people, and also, she felt if people wanted to contact her, they’d do it directly through email, phonecall or text…

Both Justin and I have tried to tell her many times to at least reconsider reactivating Twitter, but shes persistently told us that she wont!

HOWEVER, today during this phonecall we were talking about if we had heard from one of our friends on our course at university… which led onto me saying ‘Maybe if you had a facebook, you could get in touch with them.’ She replied ‘The only one I’d reconsider getting is a Twitter.’

So yeah I said I’d give her 10 reasons why I want her to reactivate her twitter.

Here we go:

  1. It annoys me when I cant tweet/tag you. I had gotten used to doing @booprach! But now I have to put your full name! and you can’t even see the Tweet unless Justin tells you! For example: ‘darzan I want to move into @ijustin ‘s and Rachel’s flat. It’s absolutely lush. I want to see a flat which looks better than theirs’
  2. We can annoy Justin publicly over twitter about our Scissor Sister love
  3.  All your followers miss you. They were following you for a reason and do like to know what you were up to! Don’t think that people are not interested.
  4. Keeping in contact with some people will be easier! Some people may not have your email or phone number! This is an easier way!
  5. You’ve missed out on the randomness!! For example the Vote Cunningham Campaign!!! (I’m gonna go back to the video in a bit)
  6. Its a more private version of Facebook. You dont have to share your about me, your relationship status, pictures etc. All you do is put name, email, if you want a location and just start writing crap! Also you can control who can follow you!
  7. The fact that you keep saying things like: ‘ The only one I’d reconsider getting is a Twitter.’ or when we went to Waterstones and you said ‘If I still had a facebook, I know what my status would be right now’ or on the Guys last day video ‘I want you to put this on Facebook and show Andrew Clay my revision!’
  8. Drunken tweets by some people are just hilarious to read.
  9. Both me and Justin will stop pestering you to get one.
  10. The fact that I spent about 1 hour writing this and thinking of reasons should be probably the biggest and ONLY reason. I dedicated a blog post to you! Duhh!

So there you go Rachel, 10 Reasons. I told you I’d do it. Now… its your move!

BTW Justin I know you’ll be reading this, so I’m just letting you know i’ve listened to your voicemail and will finally get round to reading and replying to your emails after a massively busy week right after this! :) xx
